Inspired by both Australian landscapes and my Japanese heritage, the piece reflects ideas of belonging and place. It holds a moment I often return to: standing in a park at the end of the day, watching a soft salmon sky fade above the trees, noticing a bird in flight, and feeling the heaviness of the day lift. In that moment, nature offers grounding and calm.
This work is ultimately about pause, reflection, and the quiet beauty found in the fragments we carry—both inherited and experienced.
