Although I lost the photograph of that day, the feeling has stayed with me through the years. One day, it resurfaced so vividly that it was as if every detail had been carefully preserved in my imagination, waiting to be brought back to life. I could see the shape of the hill, the stillness of the lake, and my children sitting peacefully alongside their cousin.
